It’s an idea most of us take for granted. But at CHRISTUS St. Michael Rehabilitation Hospital, it’s our focus. Our healthcare professionals are dedicated to helping our patients regain independence and return home as soon as possible. Our rehabilitation program is designed to assist patients in improving their quality of life by combining treatment and education. We concentrate on activities of daily living such as dressing, eating, walking or increasing wheelchair mobility.

Our 50-bed hospital with spacious semi-private rooms is situated on the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System 129-acre campus surrounded by tree-shaded courtyards, peaceful atriums, fountains and beautiful gardens. We believe it’s a unique, healing environment where our patients can feel comfortable. By providing the right type of care at the most appropriate time, CHRISTUS St. Michael Rehabilitation Hospital provides a unique, patient-centered program of care that promotes fast, effective recovery and wellness.
What You Can Expect
CHRISTUS St. Michael Rehabilitation Hospital offers a comprehensive pre-admission evaluation of each referred patient conducted by a skilled nurse liaison. The nurse liaison meets with the prospective patient and family members within 24 hours of referral. This assessment procedure expedites the transition process and is a valuable resource for the referring physician, patient and family.

All services are provided by trained, certified and/or licensed professionals in the following fields:
- Nursing—Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nurses
- Physical Therapy—Certifications in sports medicine and neuro-IFRAH
- Hand Therapy
- Occupational Therapy—Certified in Functional Capacity Evaluations and driving evaluations
- Speech Therapy—pathologists certified in vital stimulation
- Respiratory Care—Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
- Wound Therapy
