Our Services

Wound Care Center

The CHRISTUS St. Michael Rehabilitation Hospital Wound Care Center bases its treatment program on collaborative practice between the health care disciplines of nursing and physical therapy.

The goal of our expanded services is interdisciplinary collaboration.  This provides unique perspectives to best meet the needs for each individual patient with wound problems.

The Medical Director participates in team conferences and provides physician management. The patients’ personal physician may direct individual wound care with the wound care team and is kept informed of therapy goals and progress.

Goal

The goal of the program is to restore our patients’ functional abilities and provide optimum wound healing. The state of modern chronic wound care is in constant evolution, driven by clinical research findings and practical wound care experiences of the clinicians. The CHRISTUS St. Michael Wound Care Center provides the most current clinical protocols and latest technological advances for wound healing. When these clinical protocols are used, the result is improved patient outcomes.
